Deadlines – Master of Engineering in London

Thank you for your interest in this exciting program! There are two main areas to this program:

  • Starting your Graduate Engineering program with a Master of Engineering (MENG) in Advanced Systems Engineering or Data Sciences or an Advanced Engineering Certificate in Data Science
    • MENG or Certificates in Data Sciences can only start in a fall semester.
  • Studying and living abroad in London while completing a paid internship.

You can start your Master of Engineering and at the same time, start your internship in London OR you can start your Master of Engineering first and begin your internship in London during another semester. Please follow the steps below.

  1. Determine when you want to start your online Master of Engineering program AND which semesters you would like to be in London by using the guide below.
  2. Apply to the Master of Engineering. The Master of Engineering application requirements and link to apply can be found here. In your application, choose Study Abroad for your cohort.
  3. If you are admitted to the Master of Engineering program, please accept your offer of admission as soon as possible. Once matriculated, you will be able to apply for the internship.
  4. Set up a meeting with your Master of Engineering advisor and determine if you want to follow a flexible or accelerated plan of study.
  5. Visit the UConn Experiential Global Learning (EGL) website and search in programs for “MENG in London.”
  6. Review all the tabs within this program to have the best understanding of your time in London.
  7. Submit an internship application. Once that is completed, the EGL staff will contact you with the next steps.

        Internship in London August 2025-February 2026

        1. Apply to the Master of Engineering program by December 1, 2024 to start your MENG either Spring, Summer or Fall 2025.
        2. Apply to the internship through EGL’s portal by March 17, 2025.
        3. Arrive in London on August 16, 2025. Depart London on February 16, 2026.
