The Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering is a 30 credit master’s degree with the track of structural engineering. The field of study of Civil Engineering merges the benefits of technical engineering courses with professional development classes. The target audience includes students who are employed full-time in industry as practicing engineers, as well as those interested in expanding their skills before entering industry. As part of a capstone course, all MENG students ultimately complete and defend a final project, typically connected to a work-related problem requiring a solution. The structures track focuses on the design of buildings, bridges, and other structures and applied mechanics which form the basis of all structural analysis and design.
