Students in the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) concentration enjoy substantial flexibility in their course selection, ultimately requiring 30 credits (10 classes) as follows:
M.Eng Core Courses (12 credits)
- ENGR 5311 - Professional Communication and Information Management
- ENGR 5312 - Engineering Project Planning and Management
- ENGR 5314 - Advanced Engineering Mathematics
- ENGR 5315 - M.Eng. Capstone Project – Focused on materials. Students are encouraged to work on a company sponsored project
MSE Concentration Courses (18 credits)
Of these 18 credits, at least 12 credits must come from MSE graduate (5000-level) courses. Up to 6 credits of non-MSE graduate (5000-level) courses may be taken with major advisor approval.
